CeMAT RUSSIA continues to grow

The Russian economy continues to grow on the back of rising oil prices and strong consumer demand. As a result, the country’s commercial and manufacturing sectors are under mounting pressure to streamline their internal processes as they strive to meet the expectations of an increasingly sophisticated customer base. Meeting these complex logistical challenges requires investment in modern systems and equipment. Russia thus offers exciting opportunities for the intralogistics industry – and CeMAT RUSSIA is the perfect place to take advantage of them. “For the intralogistics industry, CeMAT RUSSIA is an excellent platform for tapping into the markets of Russia and its neighboring countries. With around 200 exhibitors, the show’s floor area will this year top the 10,000 square meter (107,640 sq. ft) mark for the very first time. This will further underscore the status of CeMAT Russia as the leading intralogistics trade fair for the whole of Russia and the neighboring former states of the Soviet Union,” said Wolfgang Pech, the Senior Vice President in charge of Deutsche Messe’s foreign trade fair business.

Russia is an enormously important market for German manufacturers of intralogistics products and equipment. In 2012, for example, Germany’s intralogistics industry exports to Russia totaled around 791 million euros. This is reflected in the strong German presence at CeMAT RUSSIA, with Germany this year fielding 35 exhibitors, making it the fair’s biggest exhibiting nation after Russia and putting it ahead of China, Italy and the USA.

This year’s CeMAT RUSSIA will feature a number of new exhibitors, including the Beumer Group from Beckum, Germany. Dr. Christoph Beumer, Managing Director of BEUMER Group GmbH & Co. KG: “Russia is an up-and-coming market. It is very large and has great potential for growth, and this flows through into enormous demand for innovative intralogistics technology and custom solutions. That is why we have had a presence in nearly all regions of Russia and the CIS states via our Russian subsidiary, OOO BEUMER, since 2007. The company is headquartered in Moscow, where it has a 20-strong team of technical and management experts. At CeMAT Russia 2013, we will be showcasing innovative solutions for our three main business areas – conveyor and loading technology, palletizing and packaging systems, and sorting and distribution technologies. All of our solutions are very strongly oriented towards sustainability – and the sustainability message is one we will be impressing upon our visitors at the fair.”

CeMAT RUSSIA is organized by Deutsche Messe AG subsidiary OOO Deutsche Messe RUS in partnership with the ITE Group Plc., a UK-based trade fair company with offices in eleven countries. Every year, ITE operates 50 exhibitions and conferences in Russia alone.
